Edward Parker Hamilton,
78, retired farmer, who moved to this city about nine years ago, died at
his home 716 South Walnut Street Sunday afternoon at 12:15 o’clock. Death was
caused by complications following an illness of two months. Mr. Hamilton was
born in Kentucky Feb 8, 1850 the son of Samuel and Hannah Hamilton and was
married to Sarah Ann King, who died in 1905. He was a member of the First
Christian Church. He is survived by
three daughters, Mrs. Flora Sandlin, at whose home he died. Mrs. Alma Bamish of
New Ross and Mrs. Effie Stewart of this city and nine grandchildren. Two daughters and one son preceded him in
death. Funeral services will be held from the First Christian Church Tuesday
afternoon at 2 o’clock in charge of the Rev JH Wilson. Burial will be in Mt.
Zion cemetery near New Ross.
